Audit Senior
The Role
As the Audit Senior you will be required to organise and plan audits, manage an on site team and on occasions win business for the practice.
You will provide support to the audit manager and a diverse range of services to clients including tax. Auditing roles will include client contact during field work, ensuring completion of audits within agreed time allocation, drafting final documents and participating in transaction support engagements.
Your duties would include the following:
- Planning, budgeting and carrying out audit and accounting assignments
- Delegating and supervising work of more junior members of the team
- Dealing with client queries whilst on site & finalising the Financial Statements
- Maintaining practice assurance including preparing engagement letter, LOR etc…
- Awareness of client affairs and identifying opportunities to provide additional services
- Liaison with other departments within the practice
- Ad-hoc duties may include management accounts/due diligence/cash flow forecasts etc
- Assisting tax partner for HMRC enquiries, etc…
- Preparation of corporate/personal tax returns
Qualifications & skills:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- Experience in audit, accounts preparation and tax
- Up to date knowledge of current accounting standards (IFRS knowledge will be useful)
- Client focused with a commercial mind
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Solid organisational skills
